myFirst Launches Camera Insta Lux with Dye-Sublimation Printing in Singapore

Singapore-based kids tech brand myFirst has launched the myFirst Camera Insta Lux, its most advanced instant camera to date, combining a 5-megapixel sensor with dye-sublimation printing technology to produce waterproof, fingerprint-resistant prints on the spot.

The product, first unveiled at CES 2026, is now available in Singapore through the myFirst digital store, the myFirst Suntec Experience Store, and POPULAR Bookstores islandwide at a retail price of S$239.

Dye-sublimation replaces traditional instant film chemistry

Unlike conventional instant cameras that rely on light-sensitive chemical reactions, the Insta Lux uses heat to transfer colour onto photo paper in layered passes, finishing each print with a protective coating. myFirst says the resulting prints are designed to retain vibrant colour for decades — positioning the device as suitable for scrapbooking, phone cases, and wallets rather than single-use keepsakes.

The camera includes a 2.8-inch IPS colour preview screen, dual lenses with a dedicated selfie option, an integrated LED flash, and Smart Exposure technology for auto-adjusted shots across varying lighting conditions. Built-in Wi-Fi enables pairing with the myFirst Circle app, allowing photos from a smartphone gallery to be printed directly via the camera.

Refill film priced at S$1 per print

Replacement film cartridges are priced at S$19.90 for two packs delivering up to 20 prints each, or approximately S$1 per print. POPULAR Bookstore members can purchase the camera at a launch price of S$219, with refill film at S$17.90. The Insta Lux is available in Cotton Candy Mix and Grey colourways.
