HONOR has launched the HONOR Magic8 Pro in Singapore, introducing its latest master-grade imaging flagship with a 200-megapixel Ultra Night Telephoto Camera and new AI-driven photography features. The Magic8 Pro targets users seeking stronger mobile photography performance and all-day battery life, anchored by its AiMAGE camera system and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
AI imaging and low-light performance take centre stage
The HONOR Magic8 Pro builds on HONOR’s AiMAGE camera system, led by a 200MP Ultra Night Telephoto Camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor, f/2.6 aperture, optical image stabilisation (OIS) and 3.7x optical zoom. HONOR said the configuration improves light intake and produces clearer images from long distances, particularly in low-light conditions.
Complementing the telephoto system are a 50MP Ultra Night Main Camera (f/1.6, OIS) and a 50MP Ultra-Wide Camera with a 122-degree field of view and 2.5cm macro capability. The company highlighted improvements in tone accuracy, portrait rendering and landscape capture.
The Magic8 Pro introduces Magic Color, an AI colour engine capable of analysing up to 16.77 million colours. It uses device–cloud processing to refine tones and preview adjustments in real time. Users can recreate cinematic looks or generate templates from reference images directly within the camera or via Magic Portal.
AI-powered editing tools are supported by the AI Photos Agent, which enables one-tap or voice-based features such as AI Eraser, AI Cutout, AI Outpainting and AI Color. A dedicated AI Button, separate from the power key, allows quick access to the camera or HONOR’s AI functions.
“The HONOR Magic8 Pro represents a significant leap forward in mobile photography and the overall smartphone experience,” said James Li, CEO of HONOR, noting the brand’s focus on AI-enhanced imaging and user-intent recognition.
Performance, battery life and display features
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform, the Magic8 Pro integrates AI super-resolution and frame-generation technology, enabling selected games to run at up to 120fps at 1080p.
The device houses a 7,100mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless HONOR SuperCharge. Its 6.71-inch LTPO OLED display supports a 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate and achieves peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits. Eye-comfort technologies include 4,320Hz PWM dimming, Dynamic Dimming and Circadian Night Display.
Connectivity is strengthened by the HONOR C1+ RF Enhanced Chip and an upgraded antenna design, which the company says offers up to 90 per cent stronger signal transmission and up to 108 per cent improvement in reception.
MagicOS 10 and new AI protections
Running MagicOS 10, the Magic8 Pro introduces a lighter, translucent interface with revised interactions across system apps. HONOR AI handles perception, context and execution on-device, offering features such as AI Screen Suggestions and AI Settings Agent.
The device also introduces AI Deepfake Detection and AI Voice Cloning Detection, designed to identify face-swap attempts and voice-clone fraud during real-time communication.
Pricing and availability in Singapore
The HONOR Magic8 Pro is available in Sunrise Gold, Sky Cyan and Black. The 12GB+512GB model retails at S$1,499, while the 16GB+1TB version is priced at S$1,699 and offered in Black and Sunrise Gold.
