IG Asia Pte Ltd (IG) has launched IG Markets, a new investing app that pays Singapore investors 3 per cent annual interest on shares and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) — a first in the local market.
The “Interest on Shares” feature allows users to earn guaranteed monthly interest payouts while still benefiting from capital gains and dividends, combining stable returns with market growth potential.
First-in-market feature for Singapore investors
Gavin Chia, Chief Executive Officer for IG Singapore and Emerging Markets, said the feature was developed in response to investor demand for more rewarding savings options in a lower-rate environment.
“By being Singapore’s first platform to pay interest on shares and ETFs, we’re giving investors a powerful new way to earn stable interest alongside potential capital appreciation and dividends,” Mr Chia said.
IG Markets offers access to major markets including Singapore, the United States, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and Japan. The app charges no commissions or platform fees, and supports fractional trading of US shares to make diversification easier.
To qualify for the 3 per cent annual interest, users must open an account and make at least one trade per month. Interest is paid on holdings up to S$50,000, with no minimum balance or lock-in period. Payouts are credited in Singapore dollars on the first day of the following month.
Launch promotion and availability
To mark the launch, new IG Markets clients in Singapore can receive a S$218 cash bonus by depositing at least S$1,000 and completing two trades within 30 days. The promotion runs until 30 November 2025.
The IG Markets mobile app is available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

IG said it plans to expand the app’s features and continue developing innovative tools to help investors grow and manage their wealth.
