Kobo Remote Launches in Singapore on Nov 4

Rakuten Kobo will launch Kobo Remote in Singapore on 4 Nov 2025, a wireless page-turn accessory designed for hands-free reading on Kobo eReaders. The device is priced at S$49.90 and will be sold online and in stores.

Kobo Remote is Kobo’s first wireless remote page turner and is built to work with Kobo’s Bluetooth-enabled eReaders. It features an ergonomic design aimed at minimising movement during reading and comes in Black and White.

Hands-free reading for Kobo users

The Kobo Remote is pitched as a companion for uninterrupted, hands-free reading, with Kobo highlighting long-lasting battery life and simple controls. The company says the device is meant to make it easier for avid readers to enjoy their digital libraries in more situations — from commuting to lounging at home.

“The Kobo Remote is the perfect accessory for peak immersive reading; it’s an invitation to lounge deeper, multitask smarter and simply enjoy reading without limits,” said Michael Tamblyn, CEO of Rakuten Kobo.

Price, availability and compatibility

In Singapore, Kobo Remote will retail for S$49.90, with availability beginning 4 Nov 2025 both online and in physical stores. Kobo says it will be broadly compatible with all Kobo Bluetooth eReaders.

Accessories that enable hands-free reading have gained traction among e-reader users, especially for commuting and multitasking. Kobo’s entry with Kobo Remote adds an official first-party option for its installed base in Singapore and the wider region.

Rakuten Kobo indicated it will share more details closer to launch. Readers can expect local retail listings and online availability from 4 Nov 2025.
