Logitech has introduced the Signature Slim Solar+ K980 wireless keyboard, designed to operate on sunlight or artificial light without the need for manual charging. The keyboard will be available in Singapore from 6 October 2025, priced at S$179 through Logitech’s official stores on Lazada and Shopee.

The launch also includes the Signature Slim Solar+ K980 for Business, a variant built for enterprise deployment, offering additional connectivity and IT management tools.

Powered by Light, Built for Modern Work

At the core of the new model is Logi LightCharge, a proprietary power system combining a light-absorbing strip, an energy-efficient design and a rechargeable battery that lasts up to 10 years. Once fully charged, the keyboard can run for up to four months in total darkness.

Logitech said the slim, full-size keyboard is aimed at users seeking a cable-free workspace with fewer interruptions. The design features scissor-switch keys that mimic laptop-style typing, a number pad, and support for up to three devices across Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS.

The device also integrates with the Logi Options+ app, allowing users to customise shortcut keys, assign smart actions, and configure the AI Launch Key for quick access to tools such as Copilot, Gemini or ChatGPT.

Art O’Gnimh, general manager of Logitech’s Core Products Group, said: “Even the need to think about charging can be a distraction. Signature Slim Solar+ takes that off your plate, staying powered by any light while bringing elegance and comfort to your workspace.”

Sustainability and Enterprise Use

Logitech has designed the Graphite version of the keyboard with 70 per cent certified post-consumer recycled plastic. It also includes a battery engineered to last a decade, reducing the need for replacements and minimising e-waste.

For enterprise customers, the Signature Slim Solar+ K980 for Business offers secure wireless connectivity via the Logi Bolt USB-C receiver. It can be monitored and managed through Logitech Sync, giving IT teams central visibility into device health, firmware updates and connectivity status.

Employees can personalise up to 23 shortcut keys, while IT teams benefit from reduced cable clutter and fewer battery replacements.

Availability

The Signature Slim Solar+ K980 in Graphite will go on sale in Singapore from 6 October 2025, retailing at S$179 exclusively on Logitech’s official Lazada and Shopee stores. Logitech said the business edition is available globally with enterprise support.

The new solar-powered keyboard builds on Logitech’s push into sustainable peripherals. The company has pledged to expand its use of recycled plastics and extend product lifespans, aligning with its Design for Sustainability framework.
