StarHub has unveiled a new mobile application designed to help Singapore residents fend off scam calls and fraudulent messages, as digital scams continue to rise in scale and sophistication.
The app, named ScamSafe, was developed in collaboration with Gogolook, a global artificial intelligence (AI) firm specialising in anti-scam technologies. It works by blocking known scam numbers, filtering suspicious SMSes, and allowing users to cross-check unknown callers against a constantly updated database. Users can also customise keyword filters and report potential scams through the platform.
The launch comes as StarHub marks its 25th anniversary and Singapore commemorates SG60. The company said ScamSafe is part of its broader SafeHub+ cybersecurity suite, aimed at making online safety more accessible to the public.
“Whether it’s helping someone avoid a scam call during a busy day, or giving a loved one the confidence to use their phones without worry, ScamSafe is about putting easy-to-use digital protection into everyone’s hands,” StarHub said in a statement.
Free trial for early sign-ups

To encourage adoption, Singapore users who sign up before 31 December 2025 will receive a six-month free trial. After that, subscriptions are priced at S$2.99 per month for StarHub customers and S$4.99 for non-StarHub users, with no contracts required.
The app is available for download on the App Store and Google Play. StarHub customers can also activate it directly through the My StarHub app at the discounted rate.
The telco said it plans to expand SafeHub+ throughout 2025 with more tools and services, building a “full ecosystem” of user-friendly cybersecurity solutions.
