Huawei has announced the arrival of its latest imaging-focused flagship series, the HUAWEI Pura 80 Ultra and Pura 80 Pro, with pre-orders in Singapore starting from 22 July. The new line pushes the boundaries of mobile photography, blending bold aesthetics with top-tier imaging hardware and AI-driven features.
Positioned as a direct successor to Huawei’s P-series smartphones, the Pura 80 series debuts with a refreshed visual identity and standout design. Most striking is the “Dazzling Forward Symbol” design—an intricate sunburst motif inspired by high jewellery and luxury watchmaking, with the Pura 80 Ultra distinguished by a golden-accented lens ring that signals its flagship status.
Mobile Imaging Takes Centre Stage
The Pura 80 Pro is armed with a revolutionary 1-inch Ultra Lighting Camera, designed to maximise light intake for superior low-light performance. Accompanied by an Ultra Chroma Camera, users can expect vivid colours and razor-sharp nightscapes.
The Pura 80 Ultra introduces a novel Switchable Dual Telephoto Camera, boasting 3.7x and 10x focal lengths with a super-sized photosensitive sensor. This setup enables dramatic portrait shots and crisp close-ups, rivalling professional camera gear.
Huawei’s proprietary XMAGE imaging platform has also been upgraded, delivering more lifelike image processing. It enhances telephoto shots and low-light performance while supporting 4K video recording for high-fidelity stage capture and dynamic videography.
AI Features and Hardware Muscle
Beyond its imaging prowess, the series introduces an AI Smart Controls Button, allowing custom one-tap access to features like the camera, flashlight, or AI lens. Enhanced with fingerprint authentication, it also ensures secure use.
Calls, too, benefit from AI advancements. New two-way AI Noise Cancellation isolates the speaker’s voice while minimising ambient distractions—a handy feature in noisy environments.
Under the hood, both models house a 5170mAh battery and support 100W wired and 80W wireless Huawei SuperCharge (wireless charger sold separately). This promises all-day power with minimal downtime.
The Pura 80 Ultra also benefits from second-generation Kunlun Glass—Huawei’s most durable yet—offering 16 times better scratch resistance and a 25-fold improvement in drop resistance compared to conventional glass.
Pricing and Availability

Pre-orders for the Pura 80 Ultra and Pura 80 Pro start on 22 July at S$1,898 and S$1,398 respectively, via Huawei’s official online stores on Lazada, Shopee and TikTok Shop. Early birds can redeem up to S$50 in vouchers from 14 July (8pm) to 2 August.
The series will hit shelves officially on 2 August at Huawei Experience Stores, M1 outlets, and major retailers such as Best Denki, Challenger, Courts and SprintCass.
