FedEx Rolls Out Autonomous Delivery Robots in Singapore Commercial Building

FedEx has begun deploying autonomous delivery robots in selected commercial buildings in Singapore, marking a first for the global logistics giant in the country and offering a glimpse into the future of last-mile logistics in dense urban centres.

The initiative follows a six-month pilot with Singapore-based QuikBot Technologies, the world’s first Autonomous Final-Mile Delivery (AFMD) Platform-as-a-Service provider. FedEx is now QuikBot’s first commercial partner, and their robots are fully operational at South Beach Tower and Mapletree Business City.

Under the system, FedEx couriers deposit parcels at QuikBot’s Forward Fulfilment Depots within building clusters. From there, QuikBot staff load the items into secure QuikBoxes before the robots take over. The robots — powered by AI agents — navigate lifts, access individual floors, and deliver packages without human assistance.

Two types of robots are in operation: QuikCat, which manages short-range floor-to-floor deliveries within buildings, and QuikFox, which handles mid-range movement between buildings, transporting up to three QuikBoxes per trip. The system operates fully autonomously within a 1.5-kilometre radius and transitions seamlessly between indoor and outdoor environments.

The aim: to eliminate courier downtime at lift lobbies and security checkpoints, allowing FedEx staff to cover more ground in less time and focus on time-sensitive deliveries.

“Delivering in dense urban environments like Singapore requires fresh perspectives and cutting-edge technology,” said Eric Tan, Managing Director of FedEx Singapore. “Our collaboration with QuikBot embodies FedEx’s commitment to revolutionising urban logistics through automation and data-driven insights.”

For QuikBot, the partnership is a commercial validation of its AI-powered logistics platform. “Last-mile logistics is one of the most expensive and inefficient segments in the supply chain,” said Alan Ng, Founder and CEO of QuikBot Technologies. “Our platform integrates robotics, IoT, and smart infrastructure into a scalable, city-ready solution… It not only accelerates operational efficiency and supports ESG goals but also provides a long-term answer to workforce sustainability in dense urban areas.”

More commercial clusters are expected to be added by the end of 2025, with the companies eyeing a broader rollout as urban logistics continues to evolve.

This initiative is part of FedEx’s broader push to modernise supply chains and improve service delivery through technology, particularly in high-rise business hubs across Asia.
