Microsoft has kicked off pre-orders in Singapore for its latest Surface devices — the 12-inch Surface Pro and the 13-inch Surface Laptop — both part of the company’s next wave of AI-powered Copilot+ PCs.
From July 1, consumers can reserve the new Surface models via the Microsoft Official Store and authorised retailers, with general availability beginning July 15.
These new devices mark Microsoft’s push to make AI computing more accessible, affordable and portable. Both the Surface Pro and Surface Laptop are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Plus chip with an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU), enabling AI-enhanced features while delivering energy efficiency and long battery life.
“With this launch, we’re bringing the power of Copilot+ PCs to more people than ever – whether you’re studying, creating, building a business, or always on the move,” said Paige Shi, Channel Sales Leader, Devices & Creativity, Microsoft Asia.
Thinner, Faster, Smarter: A Closer Look
Surface Laptop (13-inch)

Microsoft’s slimmest Surface Laptop to date is crafted for mobility and performance. Weighing less than most standard notebooks, it features a full HD 13-inch touchscreen display with ultra-thin bezels, a new fingerprint-powered power button, and a keyboard redesigned for quieter, more comfortable typing.
Powered by the Snapdragon X Plus processor and a 45 TOPS NPU, the laptop promises up to 50% faster performance than the Surface Laptop 5 — even outperforming Apple’s M3 MacBook Air, according to Microsoft. The device delivers up to 23 hours of video playback and 16 hours of active web use.
In Singapore, it is available in Platinum and ships with a complimentary Surface Arc Mouse (Ocean or Violet) for pre-orders placed before July 14.
Surface Pro (12-inch)

A refresh of Microsoft’s iconic 2-in-1 design, the Surface Pro blends tablet portability with laptop functionality. It includes a new magnetic storage and charging system for the Surface Slim Pen, and the updated 12-inch keyboard offers a smooth matte palm rest and full-size backlit keys. A Slate-coloured keyboard is bundled free with each preorder.
Weighing just 680g, it matches the Surface Laptop’s processing power and long battery life, while supporting AI-powered experiences in a more versatile form.
AI-Enhanced Productivity with Copilot+
Both devices are built to run Copilot+, Microsoft’s next-gen AI experience suite for Windows 11 PCs. Features include:
Recall (preview): A searchable history timeline that lets users retrace steps across apps, files and websites. Click to Do (preview): Lets users act on-screen content using text and image recognition. Improved Search: Type in plain language to find files or settings more intuitively. Future Updates: Microsoft also teased new tools like Photos Relight and a smart Settings assistant — available first to Windows Insiders.
Sustainable by Design
Environmental sustainability is a core focus. The new Surface Laptop features a 100% recycled cobalt battery and uses recycled rare earth metals in its magnets. The Surface Pro has over 80% recycled content in its enclosure. Both are engineered with repairability in mind.
