Global learning platform Kahoot! has opened its Asia-Pacific (APAC) headquarters in Singapore, positioning itself to accelerate growth in a region showing surging demand for flexible, interactive learning solutions across education and the workplace.
The announcement was made at a media event in Singapore, where Kahoot! outlined its APAC strategic roadmap and conducted live demonstrations of its learning platform in classroom and corporate scenarios.
The move comes as the company deepens its focus on the APAC market, which has seen over 250 million non-unique participants engage with Kahoot! in the past year alone. Since launching in 2013, Kahoot! has hosted over 12 billion non-unique participants globally and now supports more than 25 million active users.
“We’re excited to establish our APAC hub in Singapore—an ideal gateway for our regional growth,” said Ahteram Uddin, Vice President Commercial, APAC at Kahoot! during the media event. “This marks a key step in expanding the reach of our solutions to more educators, students, and professionals across APAC. We’re focused on helping organizations transform onboarding, upskilling, and internal communication into engaging, impactful experiences. At the same time, we’re scaling our support for schools and universities through interactive tools, premium content from global partners, and a growing suite of AI-powered features designed to make learning even more impact for all.”
Uddin further explained the company’s rationale for selecting Singapore as its regional base: “Singapore is one of the most forward-looking markets in the world when it comes to lifelong learning and digital transformation. With strong national investment in upskilling and a rapidly growing demand for flexible, measurable learning solutions, it’s a natural fit for Kahoot!. Whether in schools, workplaces, or through government initiatives like SkillsFuture, we see a huge opportunity to support learners and organizations in achieving their goals.”

Kahoot! offers a suite of products such as Kahoot! 360 for workplaces and Kahoot! EDU for academic institutions, aiming to provide interactive, impactful, and accessible learning to millions of users. The platform is also seeing increased adoption in Southeast Asia and Japan, with more than 750,000 teachers using it to enhance classroom engagement and academic outcomes.
The company has also introduced AI-powered features like an AI question generator and smart note scanning for students. Strategic partnerships with global content providers including Disney, Hello Kitty and other Sanrio characters, TED, Peanuts, Nickelodeon, and Microsoft have expanded its reach further. Localisation into languages such as Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Bahasa Indonesian, and Thai has made the platform more accessible to users across the diverse APAC region.
During a panel discussion at the event, users from the education and corporate sectors shared first-hand experiences using Kahoot! in their environments.

“Since we have integrated Kahoot! to our classrooms, the engagement it produced has improved our students’ learning. Among the features I use most often are the AI generator, which helps me quickly create engaging content, and Kahootopia—a great feature to foster collaborative learning and celebrate collective achievements. My students really enjoy learning alongside their classmates, and it has now become a powerful tool for positive reinforcement, rewarding them for good behaviour. Additionally, one often-overlooked benefit I truly appreciate as a teacher is the amount of time saved in preparing these interactive lessons. Kahoot! has made it possible for me to deliver engaging sessions without compromising on preparation time,” said Sabina Mammadova, a science teacher of grade six and seven at One World International School, Nanyang Campus.
“As a HR professional, I am often in charge of hosting large internal meetings and facilitating interactions where driving engagement among my colleagues could be challenging. With Kahoot!, it is a simple yet powerful tool that helps me run effective meetings that foster interaction, and maintain focus. Despite time constraints, I am able to generate an interactive presentation instantly,” said Billy Yip, a HR professional based in Singapore and a frequent user of Kahoot! at work.
