Huawei has introduced its first open-ear earbuds, the HUAWEI FreeArc, featuring an innovative earhook design for a secure and comfortable fit. Originally unveiled at the HUAWEI Innovative Product Launch in Malaysia on 18 February, the FreeArc will be available for pre-order in Singapore starting 14 March, with a retail price of $188.

The HUAWEI FreeArc is designed for all-day wear, featuring a C-bridge structure and an ergonomic earhook that adapts to different ear shapes. The earbuds are also IP57-rated for dust and water resistance, making them ideal for outdoor and sports use.

Huawei says the design is the result of extensive research, analysing over 10,000 auricle curves to ensure a secure fit. The earhooks are made from a 0.7mm nickel-titanium shape memory alloy, coated with a skin-friendly silicone layer covering 81.5% of the surface for long-lasting comfort.

Sound and Call Clarity with AI-Powered Technology

The FreeArc earbuds promise an immersive listening experience with Sterling Sound technology, a high-sensitivity driver unit, and Adaptive Equal-loudness Algorithm, delivering deep bass and balanced audio. The Reverse Sound Waves System directs sound towards the ear canal for better privacy.

For calls, the earbuds come with a dual-mic setup and triple noise cancellation to reduce ambient noise, ensuring clear voice pickup. Huawei claims the earbuds maintain stable connections over long distances, including up to 400 metres on a sports field or 100 square metres in an office setting.

Availability and Promotions

The HUAWEI FreeArc will be available in three colours – Black, Grey, and Green – at $188. Early buyers can enjoy an $18 discount by claiming vouchers on Lazada and Shopee starting 2 March 2025 and using them from 14 March 2025, 8 PM onwards.

From 24 March 2025, the earbuds will also be available at HUAWEI Experience Stores (313@Somerset, Westgate, Pasir Ris, and NEX) and MetaPod.
