Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. has announced the launch of the Qualcomm AI Program for Innovators (QAIPI) 2025 in the Asia-Pacific region. Designed to accelerate innovation in on-device AI solutions, the programme targets professional developers and startups from Japan, Singapore, and South Korea.
QAIPI offers participants exclusive access to Qualcomm’s cutting-edge AI Hub ecosystem, training sessions, mentorship, and resources to develop AI-driven applications that span industries such as mobile, IoT, and intelligent computing.
Senior Vice President and President of Qualcomm APAC, O.H. Kwon, shared: “AI is reshaping industries globally, and we are excited to empower innovators in the Asia-Pacific region to lead this evolution.”

Programme Highlights
QAIPI comprises two phases:
- Phase 1 (April 2025): Open to professional developers and startups, focusing on edge-AI model optimisation using Qualcomm’s AI Hub.
- Phase 2 (May–October 2025): Shortlisted startups gain six months of mentorship, access to Qualcomm hardware platforms, and a US$5,000 stipend.
Participants will also have the opportunity to showcase their innovations at a virtual Demo Day in Q4 2025, attended by industry leaders and investors.
Incentives for Participants
- Professional Developers: Online training sessions and digital badges for recognition.
- Startups (Phase 2): Mentorship, access to hardware tools, a stipend, and patent filing incentives valued up to US$5,000.
The programme also provides a platform for participants to develop end-to-end AI use cases while addressing regional and societal needs in a scalable manner.
Sudeepto Roy, Qualcomm’s Vice President of Engineering, emphasised the importance of the initiative: “Through QAIPI, we will equip innovators with comprehensive technical and IP training, mentorship, and cutting-edge platforms, enabling them to excel in this dynamic space.”

Applications for QAIPI 2025 are open until Tuesday, 15 April 2025 (11:59 p.m. PST). Interested developers and startups can submit their proposals via the official QAIPI website.
Participants will be evaluated on their solution’s innovation, relevance to regional needs, and societal impact.
