Singtel has partnered with KOI Thé for a unique pop-up event, “Hello Securi-tea.” Running from 25 November to 1 December 2024 at Bugis Junction, the event highlights Singtel’s latest scam-fighting tool, Mobile Protect, through an interactive and flavorful experience.
Singtel Mobile Protect is a network-level cybersecurity solution that shields users from threats like phishing, malware, and malicious websites. At the pop-up, attendees can learn about its features while enjoying a free cup of bubble tea—complete with toppings symbolizing Mobile Protect’s key functionalities.
Cybersecurity, Upsized
Singtel Mobile Protect is part of the telco’s 3-Step Security Approach, which integrates protection at the network, device, and community levels:
- Network-Level Protection: Using advanced 5G slicing technology, Mobile Protect automatically blocks malicious threats before they reach users.
- Device-Level Protection: Solutions like the McAfee Triple Protect Security Suite safeguard against viruses and phishing attempts.
- Community Engagement: Singtel encourages safe cyber practices through public awareness campaigns.
With cyber scams costing victims over S$385.6 million in Singapore in just the first half of 2024, tools like Mobile Protect are critical in safeguarding online transactions and activities.
Mobile Protect: Security-as-a-Slice
Mobile Protect leverages Singtel’s award-winning 5G Security-as-a-Slice (SecaaS) technology, providing a dedicated connectivity lane with enhanced security features. Powered by real-time AI threat intelligence, the solution filters an average of 660,000 potential threats daily and blocks over 5,000 malicious accesses, ensuring peace of mind for users.
Subscribers also receive weekly threat summaries via the My Singtel app, offering insights into the types of threats blocked and their risk levels. Priced at just S$4.90 per month, Mobile Protect is available as an easy add-on for Singtel 5G customers with no contract or app installations required.
