In celebration of Singapore’s 59th year of independence, Singtel has introduced a range of new SIM-only no-contract mobile plans, tailored to the evolving digital and travel lifestyles of its customers. The company is also offering a host of deals across its mobile, TV, and broadband services to reward loyal subscribers, alongside the release of a heart-warming film that captures the quintessential Singaporean kampong spirit.
Responding to Customer Needs with Flexible Plans
A study conducted by Singtel in late 2023 highlighted that customers prioritize flexible payment options and value-added services like roaming when choosing mobile plans. The study also revealed a willingness to pay a premium for stronger, reliable connectivity and enhanced security against digital fraud and scams. In response, Singtel has launched no-contract SIM-only plans that include roaming and mobile security services.
“Providing good service and better value for our customers is always a top priority for Singtel. These ongoing studies and engagements at various customer touchpoints provide invaluable insights that help us understand their evolving behaviours and lifestyle requirements which strongly influence how we design our products and services. With the new 5G no-contract SIM-only plans, our customers have greater flexibility to choose the plans that meet their digital lifestyle needs and can confidently enjoy using their favourite apps, even when they travel, knowing that they are protected by Singtel’s added defence measures,” said Ms Anna Yip, Deputy CEO, Singtel Singapore and CEO, Business Development.
New 5G Plans for Enhanced Connectivity

Singtel’s new 5G plans, categorized as “Core,” “Plus,” and “Ultra,” offer high-speed connectivity, low latency, and high bandwidth. These plans support customers who stream videos in ultra-high definition and game on the go. A first in Singapore, the plans come with value-added services such as international roaming, mobile security, and a subscription to Disney+ Premium, which supports 4K UHD and HDR video playback. Additionally, subscribers will receive a monthly cashback of up to $20 when purchasing a phone via Singtel PayLater in conjunction with these SIM-only plans.
The high-value plans also feature up to 6GB of free data roaming, ensuring seamless connectivity across 18 destinations, including popular holiday spots like Australia, Japan, and South Korea.

To mark the National Day celebrations, Singtel is offering a range of deals across its services from 27 July to 18 August 2024:

Celebrating Friendship and National Day Spirit
Singtel’s second National Day film, “LIFT,” set in a public housing lift, depicts the kampong spirit of Singapore. The film features two strangers, Farah and Ah Ben, who find themselves stuck in a lift. Ah Ben, suffering from claustrophobia, panics when his phone has no reception. Farah uses her Singtel 5G-connected device to livestream the National Day parade, calming Ah Ben and sparking a new friendship as they get caught up in the National Day festivities.
