Sonar, a leading provider of Clean Code solutions, has announced the expansion of its SonarCloud offering with the introduction of two new plans: SonarCloud Enterprise and SonarCloud Team. These fully managed SaaS solutions aim to enhance the quality and security of both human-developed and AI-assisted code, serving thousands of organizations in analyzing proprietary and open-source projects.
SonarCloud is designed to address the risks associated with unclean code, such as business outages, security vulnerabilities, and poor application performance. The platform’s solutions enable developers to detect bugs, quality issues, and security flaws early in the development process. This early detection helps prevent issues from reaching production, thereby boosting developer productivity, software quality, and overall business performance.
Furkan Yavuz, QA lead for Recognyte, an AI-driven real estate intelligence company, shared his positive experience, stating, “Our ROI in SonarCloud kicked in from the first month. We were able to gain a better understanding of the quality of our code and start rolling out suitable adjustments for the engineering team.”
As the adoption of AI coding assistants and the demand for rapid software development increase, scalable and secure solutions have become essential. The new SonarCloud plans cater to these needs, providing tools that help development teams minimize risk and maintain software performance.
Fabrice Bellingard, VP of Product at Sonar, emphasized the importance of early issue detection: “The adoption of AI coding assistants and the push for faster software development have increased code volume and raised reliability concerns. However, most code scanning tools are just adding to the growing list of issues that are potential threats to business, most of which are false positives. Developers need to be empowered to find issues early and be motivated to fix them with the tools they love and have confidence in. Development teams who use SonarCloud are able to pinpoint and remediate as early in the development process as possible.”

Features for Enterprises and Teams
The SonarCloud Enterprise plan offers comprehensive features for organization-wide management, including new authentication and security capabilities, executive reporting, simplified administration, and dedicated commercial support. The plan is available on AWS Marketplace, simplifying procurement and onboarding processes.
Key features include enterprise-wide control with configurable settings, project PDF reporting, and security standard reports. Enhanced security features, such as Single Sign-On (SSO) and scalable token management, address the complexities of managing multiple DevOps tools and ensure secure access.
The SonarCloud Team plan, which replaces the existing Private Repo plan, provides an affordable solution for teams to scan public and private projects. It includes features like branch analysis, pull request decoration, and injection flow detection, enabling consistent and efficient Clean Code delivery. The plan also allows teams to define their own quality standards.
Availability on AWS Marketplace
SonarCloud’s presence on AWS Marketplace allows easy access for AWS customers to Sonar’s SaaS solution. With data hosted at AWS and replicated across multiple availability zones, customers are assured of data accessibility in case of hardware failures or natural disasters. Sonar’s membership in the AWS Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Accelerate Program further enhances customer support and cloud cost management.
Bellingard concluded, “When developers aren’t burdened by fixing issues downstream, they have more time for creativity, quicker release cycles, and advanced problem-solving, which all support a more positive developer experience and contribute to higher retention and lower recruitment costs.”
