AXS has launched AXS Drive, a new motoring app designed to alleviate common parking issues such as stored-value card errors and the inconvenience of finding top-up machines. This app links a driver’s credit card to their license plate and IU number, enabling automatic deductions when exiting car parks.
AXS Drive leverages License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology to record entry and exit times, processing payments seamlessly after the vehicle leaves the car park. Integrated with existing Electronic Parking Systems (EPS), the app facilitates easy implementation for car park operators island-wide without requiring additional hardware.
Currently, AXS Drive is available at 12 car parks, including Downtown East, Far East Plaza, The Heeren, and Wisma Atria. With 55 commercial car parks already on board, AXS aims to have the app operational at 100 car parks by the end of 2024, targeting a 12% market share of the commercial car park segment.

It is a solution that we have built after identifying a strong need in the commercial parking segment for innovations similar to Parking.sg.”
Drivers often face frustrations when car park gantries fail to open due to payment processing issues. AXS Drive aims to alleviate these frustrations by ensuring automatic deductions and reducing the chances of being stuck at exit gantries.
Benefits for Car Park Operators
Beyond driver convenience, AXS Drive offers significant benefits to car park operators, including reducing congestion and minimizing debit errors. The app ensures accurate recording of vehicle details at exit, facilitating quicker departures. The backend account-based payment method also reduces debit errors and increases revenue for operators, while also discouraging tailgating.
AXS Drive integrates seamlessly with existing parking privilege programs, digitizing coupons and streamlining administrative processes. This automation improves productivity, allowing facilities management staff to focus on more critical tasks.
Additionally, the app supports real-time advertising of available parking spaces, enabling operators to boost occupancy rates and revenue potential.
Easy Setup for Drivers
The AXS Drive app, available on both Android and iOS, is user-friendly and free to use. Drivers simply download the app, input their car plate and IU number, and link a credit or debit card for payments. During the first year, AXS is partnering exclusively with Mastercard to offer secure payment experiences through Mastercard Gateway, with plans to include other payment networks in the future.
Registered users can immediately utilize the app at all participating car parks, linking multiple vehicles to a single credit card for convenience. The app also facilitates in-app season parking renewals.

AXS Drive also offers features to enhance the driving experience, including real-time parking space availability updates and traffic condition alerts. The app manages motoring service payments, such as road tax renewals and fine payments, and maintains a detailed log of transactions for easy expense tracking.
Looking ahead, AXS plans to expand AXS Drive to more car parks and explore partnerships with malls to integrate shopping and parking experiences, allowing users to earn and redeem rewards points directly through the app. A launch referral campaign will offer users a $1 voucher for each successful referral, adding further incentive to adopt the app.
