iProov, a leader in biometric identity solutions, announced today that its Dynamic Liveness Solution has become the first to achieve the new global certification for face biometric identity verification from the FIDO Alliance. The FIDO Alliance, an open industry association, aims to reduce the world’s reliance on passwords by promoting secure authentication standards.
The certification process, conducted by Ingenium Biometrics, involved over 10,000 tests and resulted in a flawless performance for iProov’s Dynamic Liveness Solution. The solution achieved a 0% Imposter Attack Presentation Accept Rate (IAPAR) and a 0.14% False Reject Rate (FRR), setting new benchmarks for accuracy and reliability in the industry.
The rise in digital identity verification has been significant, with Juniper Research predicting over 70 billion digital identity checks in 2024. This surge is driven by digital transformation, which has shifted many traditionally in-person services online, increasing the need for secure and trustworthy user verification. The new FIDO certification program helps organizations select reliable biometric identity verification solutions to ensure secure access to digital services.
Andrew Bud, founder and CEO of iProov, emphasized the importance of this certification. “For the first time, governments and enterprises worldwide can rely on an industry-recognized biometric performance standard. Our status as the only vendor to successfully pass this program underscores the trust in iProov from many governments, large enterprises, and leading trust service providers.”

Andrew Shikiar, executive director and CEO of the FIDO Alliance, highlighted the program’s role in enhancing security. “FIDO Alliance’s face verification certification program is a strategic expansion that underscores the importance of secure onboarding, enrollment, and identity re-binding. Enterprises should seek certified products to mitigate threats during account creation and recovery, bolstering our commitment to reducing reliance on passwords.”
Key industry partners have also expressed their support for iProov’s achievement. Loren Russon, SVP Product & Technology Alliances at Ping Identity, stated, “This certification signals the industry’s shift towards robust biometric authentication. iProov’s Dynamic Liveness solution strengthens our platform and enhances the value we deliver to customers and partners.”
Justin Soong, CEO of Authsignal, added, “iProov’s certification by the FIDO Alliance sets a new standard in biometrics. We are excited to continue our partnership, integrating iProov’s solution with Authsignal’s FIDO2/Passkeys authentication to protect against evolving threats while maintaining user experience.”
This milestone certification from the FIDO Alliance marks a significant step forward in secure biometric identity verification, offering governments, enterprises, and service providers a trusted solution for digital identity verification.
