Singapore – Samsung Electronics Singapore has reaffirmed its commitment to the future of virtual production in Southeast Asia and Oceania with a showcase of The Wall for Virtual Production (IVC series) at Infinite Studios Singapore. The event, developed in collaboration with Aux Media, Aputure, BytePlus, Pixotope, and RED, demonstrated Samsung’s leading visual display technology, impressing attendees with its exceptional quality.
“Samsung is delighted to work with leading virtual production partners to showcase The Wall for Virtual Production (IVC series) for the first time in the Southeast Asia and Oceania region. Delivering the ultimate picture quality with lifelike details and a wide range of shades, the IVC series will unlock unlimited possibilities for filmmakers, production houses, and content creators. As technology advances, the IVC series will empower the media industry to produce more creative, immersive, and high-quality content,” said Jacus Long, Head of Display Business, Samsung Electronics Singapore.
Powerful Visual Displays Enhance Virtual Production

Samsung’s advanced visual display technology offers powerful production capabilities, extending the boundaries of reality. Production houses can use ultra-large LED walls combined with real-time visual effects technology to significantly reduce the time and cost of content production.
The IVC series enhances production quality by adding lifelike texture, volume, and shades to virtual environments with its ultra-low reflection LED surface. The new IVC models, IV016C and IV021C, feature pixel pitches of P1.68 and P2.1 respectively, a refresh rate of up to 12,288Hz, and 1,500 nits max brightness, ensuring high picture quality for virtual content creation. An improved cabinet structure with a 4:9 ratio allows for a curvature range up to 5,800R, creating a more realistic field of view.
The IVC series includes an updated genlock feature to keep the display synchronized with system signals, preventing dropped or doubled frames. The enhanced phase offset feature adjusts the time delay between camera and screen, ensuring picture-perfect images. Additionally, the series boasts 3D lookup tables (LUTs) for color correction, wide-gamut HDR color processing, and color adjustment between individual cabinets or modules.
The integrated Virtual Production Management (VPM) software simplifies screen management, ensuring high-quality images and resolving potential LED-related issues. Built with sustainability in mind, the IVC series offers a 1.5 times longer LED lifetime at 150,000 hours, enhancing efficiency and performance. Designed for any studio environment, it can be hung or stacked with other screens and is protected against dust and particles, making it versatile for various settings.
Virtual Production Display of Choice

The Wall for Virtual Production has been chosen by leading production studios and educational institutions in Asia for their virtual production setups. Notable examples include Korean entertainment company CJ ENM, which partnered with Samsung to outfit their virtual production stage for the set of “Queen of Tears,” and the Hong Kong Design Institute, which selected The Wall for Virtual Production for their largest virtual production venue in Hong Kong at Shaw Studios.
Samsung’s showcase at Infinite Studios Singapore underscores its role in advancing virtual production technology, setting new standards for the industry in Southeast Asia and Oceania.
