Singapore – Global technology leader Epson has introduced its revitalised brand message, “Engineered for Good,” across Southeast Asia, marking a significant shift in its commitment to combine innovation with sustainability. This new direction replaces the former slogan “It’s In the Details,” reflecting a broader mission to leverage technology for the enrichment of communities and the environment.
Epson’s new brand identity emphasizes its dedication to sustainability and purposeful innovation. The company’s corporate philosophy, ‘sho-sho-sei,’ meaning ‘efficient, compact, and precise’ in Japanese, aligns seamlessly with this refreshed message.
Tan May Lin, Regional Director of Brand and Communications for Epson Southeast Asia, highlighted the importance of sustainability in the company’s operations. “The actions of individuals and businesses, no matter how small, will play an important part in helping Southeast Asia achieve a sustainable future. Epson recognises that sustainability is a foundational element of responsible business practices. Hence, it is important that we communicate and advocate the use of Epson’s eco-efficient technology which helps reduce energy consumption, enhance productivity, and minimise the overall environmental impact of every Epson product,” she said.
The “Engineered for Good” campaign underscores Epson’s unique approach to delivering efficient, compact, and precise innovations. This initiative is part of Epson’s broader Environmental Vision 2050, which aims to achieve carbon-negative operations and eliminate reliance on underground resources by 2050.
By the end of 2023, Epson Southeast Asia had adopted 100% renewable energy across all major sites and factories worldwide. Additionally, the company has phased out laser printers in the region, favouring inkjet technology for its superior sustainability credentials.
