Germany – Leica Camera AG has announced the launch of the new Leica D-Lux 8, set to be available on 2 July 2024. Building on a legacy that began with the first D-Lux in 2003, the D-Lux 8 continues to uphold Leica’s reputation for top-quality digital compact cameras through eight generations and numerous special editions.
The Leica D-Lux 8 promises to deliver the quintessential Leica experience in a more compact and accessible form. The design and user experience reflect the excellence of the legendary Leica brand, globally recognized as a leader in photography. The controls have been simplified and ergonomically repositioned for enhanced user comfort, while the user interface, inspired by the popular Leica Q-Cameras, has been made even more intuitive.
Key features of the D-Lux 8 include a 4/3” CMOS sensor with 22 MP (effective 17 MP), the fast Leica DC Vario-Summilux 10.9–34 f/1.7–2.8 ASPH. lens (35mm equivalent to 24-75mm), and seamless connectivity with the Leica FOTOS app. Notably, it is the first D-Lux model to support the versatile DNG format. An included flash further enhances the camera’s versatility.

Accompanying the D-Lux 8, Leica will introduce a new range of accessories, including hand grips, carrying straps, wrist straps, and leather protectors in multiple colors. Additional accessories, such as an automatic lens cap, soft release buttons, and various bags (hip, crossbody, and equipment bags), will also be available.
The Leica D-Lux 8 will retail for S$2,450.00 and will be available at official Leica Singapore stores, the Leica Online Store, and authorized dealers from 2 July 2024. Customers can register online to be notified once the camera is available in-store.
