The GeekCon 2024 International Cybersecurity Contest & Conference, a prominent event fostering talent and innovation in cybersecurity, will make its debut in Singapore at the OCBC Arena, Singapore Sports Hub, from May 25 to May 26, 2024. Organized by the independent security research institute DARKNAVY, GeekCon is the world’s first contest and conference focused on smart life and AI, dedicated to pioneering research and discovery in cyber adversarial events.
GeekCon 2024 aims to visualize and measure the value of the cybersecurity industry, nurture talent through education, and empower the global security community. The event will bring together prominent practitioners, researchers, and white-hat hackers from around the world, including renowned figures such as George Hotz, Chris Evans, Ian Goodfellow, and Liang Chen.
Since its inception, GeekCon has hosted 15 international sessions, attracting thousands of contestants and speakers. These events have identified thousands of severe vulnerabilities, aiding high-tech companies like Google, Apple, Tesla, and Amazon in addressing security flaws.
In Singapore, GeekCon 2024 will feature five high-profile tech sessions:
- DAF (Defense & Attack Force) Contest: An immersive live hacking contest that showcases real-world vulnerability exploitation in smart devices and network services.
- AVSS (Adversarial Vulnerability Scoring System) Contest: A test field targeting diverse software and systems, with a focus on mobile phones and V2X.
- AI and Hackers: A themed contest and debate exploring attacks and defenses in the AI industry.
- Web3 and Hackers: A contest and debate on real-world attacks and financial losses in the Web3 space.
- 30+5 In-depth Sharing: Sessions featuring 30-minute tech talks and 5-minute demos/live hack shows on various cybersecurity topics.
Visitors can expect groundbreaking insights, live demos, and networking opportunities. The event will also welcome tertiary students and those from institutes of higher learning, promoting cybersecurity education.
