In the lead up to the highly anticipated Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon (SCSM) set for 1 to 3 December, an enhanced version of the SCSM+ app, powered by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), has been launched, promising an immersive race experience. The app, available for download since 19 September, introduces novel features, enabling participants to connect with fellow runners, engage in challenges, and access virtual runs and training sessions from anywhere in the world.

Apart from serving as the official mobile app partner for SCSM 2023, TCS has incorporated functionalities like race updates, transportation tips, live runner tracking, and registration services into the app. Notably, participants can register for weekly training runs leading up to the marathon, fostering a sense of community among runners globally.

To mark the app’s launch, participants can join the TCS Kick-off Virtual Run from 19 September to 2 October, offering a chance to win SGD50 vouchers upon completing a 5km run. TCS is also reintroducing the TCS Corporate Challenge, inviting corporate teams to vie for top honors across various categories. The challenge includes Total Distance by Corporate Finishers, Top Corporate Male, and Top Corporate Female, with winners receiving recognition at an award ceremony in January 2024 and a coveted entry to the TCS London Marathon 2024 in April.

Santoz Kumar, General Manager of Singapore for The IRONMAN Group, expressed enthusiasm for the enhanced SCSM+ app, emphasizing its role in building a global running community. Ameet Nivsarkar, Country Head, TCS Singapore, highlighted the app’s innovation and health-centric features, underlining TCS’s commitment to providing a superior digital experience for both runners and spectators.

As the official mobile app partner and title sponsor of the TCS Corporate Challenge, TCS aims to inspire new generations of runners, foster communities, and promote holistic lifestyles through technological innovation in marathons like SCSM.
