Samsung Electronics Singapore has just unveiled an exciting addition to its monitor lineup, the ViewFinity S9 (S90PC model). This new monitor is designed with creative professionals in mind, like graphic designers and photographers. It’s a big deal because it’s been recognized with a CES Innovation Award in 2023.
According to Hoon Chung, the Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business, the ViewFinity S9 is all about providing the best possible experience for those in creative industries. It’s packed with features that make it ideal for professionals who need sharp visuals and vibrant colors.
The ViewFinity S9 has a 27-inch screen with an impressive 5K resolution (5,120 x 2,880). This means it offers over 50% more workspace compared to regular UHD monitors. This extra space and resolution allow professionals to work on high-detail projects without needing to zoom in, keeping all their editing tools visible.
The colors on this monitor are exceptional. It covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and boasts 218 pixels per inch (PPI). This translates to vivid and crisp colors with great detail. Also, the monitor’s brightness of 600 cd/m2 makes it easy to use even in different lighting conditions.
A standout feature is the Smart Calibration. This is the first in the industry and is controlled using smartphones. You can customize the screen settings precisely without requiring expensive calibration equipment. You can do this by simply pointing your smartphone’s camera at the screen. The process is quick and easy, and a report afterward shows the adjustments made and the color accuracy achieved.
The ViewFinity S9 is also gentle on your eyes. It has Intelligent Eye Care features to reduce strain during long use. Plus, its matte display reduces glare, so you can work without distractions.
The monitor’s connectivity is top-notch. It has Thunderbolt 4, mini DisplayPort inputs, and USB-C compatibility. It’s even equipped with a built-in 4K SlimFit camera that offers high-quality video for calls. This camera adjusts to your monitor’s angle and keeps you centered, even if you move around.
The ViewFinity S9’s sleek metal design is ergonomic, adjustable, and can rotate 90 degrees. This makes it comfortable for any work setup. It’s also equipped with Smart TV apps, so you can enjoy entertainment right on your monitor.
