Southeast Asian superapp Grab is leveraging Zoom to enhance its employee engagement and collaboration across its offices in the region. With employees and teams spread across Southeast Asia and beyond, the company is using a range of Zoom solutions, including Zoom Rooms, Zoom Events, Zoom Meetings, and Zoom Webinars to support its workforce and ensure they have the technology they need to work effectively in a flexible and hybrid work environment.
Grab, which operates across the deliveries, mobility, and digital financial services sectors, serves over 500 cities across Southeast Asia. The deployment of Zoom Rooms across 400 meeting and conference rooms in Grab’s offices is helping employees collaborate, while Zoom Events and Zoom Mesh are used for internal townhalls, leveraging the Zoom platform’s inherent reliability and security for large-scale company events.
In addition, Grab uses Zoom Meetings and Webinars to communicate virtually with hybrid teams, partners, and customers, while also integrating Zoom for Workspace Reservation. The company has also piloted the use of Zoom IQ for Sales, a conversational intelligence software, to upskill account managers of the Grab For Business platform.
“At Grab, we recognize the importance of building a work culture of collaboration and continued growth, and this is only possible if we set our teams up for success with the right technology and resources. With our teams spread across Southeast Asia and beyond, integrating with Zoom across a wide range of use cases enables us to collaborate and work effectively,” said Adam Seyer, Grab’s Head of Engineering for Grabber Technology Solutions.
According to Ricky Kapur, Head of Asia Pacific at Zoom, the company is thrilled to be able to support Grab in its mission to drive Southeast Asia forward with its platform solutions. He added that Zoom is committed to providing its customers with a reliable and secure platform designed for collaboration, which underpins all other business priorities.

As a superapp that has disrupted Southeast Asia’s ride-hailing and food delivery markets, Grab’s use of Zoom demonstrates the company’s commitment to leveraging technology to enhance its operations and employee engagement.
