Appdome Launches Pre-Built Integration with GitLab to Accelerate Secure Mobile App Development

Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform 2 Drives Cloud-Native Automation and Helps Developers Become Automators

Appdome, the only Cyber Defense Automation platform for the mobile app economy, has unveiled a pre-built integration with GitLab, the leading enterprise DevSecOps platform for software innovation. This integration is part of Appdome’s Dev2Cyber Partner initiative, designed to expedite the delivery of secure mobile apps globally.

With this new integration, mobile brands can leverage GitLab to embed Appdome’s mobile app security, anti-fraud, anti-malware, anti-cheat, and other cyber defenses into iOS and Android apps quickly and easily. Appdome’s Cyber Defense Automation platform delivers mobile app protection and streamlines release times by automating the process of building cyber security defenses into mobile apps without the need for coding or software development kits (SDKs). Its no-code, fully automated protections include mobile data encryption, jailbreak detection, root detection, code obfuscation, on-device anti-malware, anti-fraud, anti-cheat, anti-bot, and other safeguards.

Karen Hsu, SVP of Mobile DevOps and Security Solutions at Appdome, said that the fast-evolving mobile threat landscape requires agility and speed, and this integration serves mobile developers and the mobile app economy well. David Sakamoto, GitLab’s VP of Customer Success, also praised the integration, stating that security is a top priority at GitLab, and they are excited to collaborate with Appdome to make it easier for joint customers to deliver mobile app protection.

Appdome’s recent Global Consumer Expectations of Mobile App Security survey shows that global consumers are demanding more protection than ever before in their mobile app experiences. 94% of respondents said they would promote a brand that protects them against security, fraud, and malware risks, while 68% said they would abandon brands that do not offer any protection.

“Mobile brands must deliver continuous protection,” said Jamie Bertasi, Chief Customer Officer at Appdome. “Rapid delivery of new protections and plugging into the DevOps ecosystem are critical steps towards an increasingly customer, consumer, and end-user-centric cyber and anti-fraud experience.”
