This camera is the fourth generation with a black-and-white sensor and is geared towards photographers who specialize in black-and-white photography.

The Leica M11 Monochrom features a monochrome multi-resolution full-format sensor exclusively developed for the new M generation. This provides extraordinary black-and-white images, with raw files in the DNG format or JPEGs with a resolution of either 60, 36 or 18 megapixels. Additionally, the camera offers an enormous ISO range of 125 to 200,000, giving photographers an unprecedented level of creative freedom when taking pictures.

The camera’s sensor is entirely focused on black-and-white photography, allowing photographers to compose their pictures solely through light and shadow. Moreover, the camera can be directly controlled with the app, and photos can be immediately assessed at the smartphone or tablet thanks to tethered preview.

The Leica M11 Monochrom has an all-metal body and a top plate made of high-quality aluminium, with a sapphire glass display, solid leather covering, and black, scratch-resistant paint finish. The camera’s design is timeless and unobtrusive, with details such as the deliberate omission of the Leica logo and the dark chrome-plated coating of the optical viewfinder, which underline the reduced, iconic design of the new addition to the legendary Leica M family.

According to Leica Camera AG, the Leica M11 Monochrom is “built for premium photography,” combining all the requirements of a premium camera “Made in Germany.” The camera retails at S$13,470.00 and is available at official Leica Singapore Stores, the Leica Online Store, and authorized dealers starting 13th April 2023.
