dLocal, the technology-first payments platform for emerging markets, has officially launched a new all-in-one payment solution that promises to simplify the complex process of managing global platform payments. The new solution, called dLocal for Platforms, is a scalable and secure payment solution for marketplaces, on-demand services, and any other platform business models.
With dLocal for Platforms, platform businesses can onboard sellers, service providers, or contractors onto the platform itself, while dLocal verifies them before paying out. The solution also enables the platform to accept payments on behalf of its users, split payments between one or more users, deduct costs as needed, and hold funds until payout. Funds can be moved within the platform to debit or credit funds.
The key advantage of dLocal for Platforms is its ability to handle payments in local currency and distribute payments to any number of users, while automatically setting fees or commissions before paying out the final amount. The solution offers a complete suite to manage the platform’s payments from one place, including consolidated reporting, refund, and chargeback management.
According to Federico Mazzoli, VP Product at dLocal, the new solution is designed to overcome the long-standing complexity of receiving and distributing payments from different countries to different users, and will be particularly beneficial for online marketplaces, ride-sharing companies, eCommerce on social media platforms, and social media ads.

The solution has already been soft-launched to a small group of customers and is now live and available on dLocal’s website.
