Okta, a leading independent identity provider, has announced an integration with Singapore’s national digital identification service, Singpass, which began in 2022. The integration will enable Singpass users to access a wide range of business and government services with the same passwordless experience.
Okta Customer Identity Cloud, powered by Auth0 technology, will allow Singpass users to integrate Singpass QR Login with the Universal Login feature. The integration is subject to approval by Singpass and will be available to Okta customers who have been approved by Singpass.
Singpass is managed by the Government Technology Agency of Singapore (GovTech), and it allows citizens to sign in to government services using a unique ID. The technology has been extended to the private sector in recent years, subject to Singpass’ approval of the use case. Several organizations have already successfully integrated Okta with Singpass, including NTUC Enterprise, a group of social enterprises in Singapore.

“We are delighted to report positive outcomes, in particular, improved user experience and increased customer satisfaction,” said Winson Lim, Head of Digital Product Development at NE Digital. “The solution’s robust security features also give us greater assurance that we are interacting with authentic parties.”
Richard Marr, General Manager for Digital Native Business at Okta, said, “We are honoured to have worked with GovTech on this powerful integration. Now Okta customers can conveniently plug into a secure digital experience with Singpass QR Login.”
Ben Goodman, SVP and General Manager of Asia Pacific at Okta, added, “The integration with Singpass expands Okta’s authentication network and will no doubt help organisations to securely address their biggest digital challenges while enabling them to continue to innovate.”
The integration of Okta with Singpass represents a significant development in the digital identity space, enabling a seamless and secure experience for users across Singapore’s business and government services.
