Huawei Partners with Singapore Health Promotion Board to Promote Healthy Living

Huawei has announced the integration of its Health App with Singapore Health Promotion Board’s (HPB) Healthy 365 mobile app. This partnership aims to encourage Singaporeans to engage in moderate-to-vigorous physical activity and keep active daily through gamification and rewards.

With this integration, users can now pair their HUAWEI Health App with the Healthy 365 app and get rewarded when they meet daily goals in HPB’s National Steps ChallengeTM by clocking Moderate-to-Vigorous Physical Activity (MVPA) minutes and steps using a Huawei wearable watch or band.

The initiative is part of Singapore’s Healthier SG strategy that encourages all Singaporeans to take steps towards better health. The National Steps Challenge™, accessed via the Healthy 365 app, leverages wearable technology to promote a healthy lifestyle and incentivize Singaporeans to engage in MVPA.

Huawei International CEO, Mr. Foo Fang Yong, said, “Huawei is delighted to partner with HPB and demonstrate our long-term commitments in Singapore’s collective efforts towards building a healthier population. With our expertise in cloud technology and cutting-edge Health Lab R&D facility, Huawei seeks to continuously advance fitness and wearable technology with the objective of bettering the lives of our users globally.”

The Health Promotion Board’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Koh Peng Keng, added, “In support of Healthier SG, the Health Promotion Board is enhancing the accessibility of Healthy 365’s fitness wearable ecosystem to bring even more convenience to Singaporeans. With the integration of HUAWEI Health App, all major commercial fitness wearables are now compatible with Healthy 365. We will continuously enhance the Healthy 365 app to encourage and support residents to adopt healthier lifestyles.”

Huawei’s Health App is a multi-use lifestyle and fitness app that provides users with easy-to-access records of their heart rate, blood oxygen levels, blood pressure, sleep quality, step count, and more. The app also incorporates lifestyle features to help users plan their fitness goals and provide positive feedback about their workouts.

According to Huawei, the HUAWEI Health App has over 400 million global users, with 97 million monthly active users, 13 million users tracking sports activity, 16 million using it for sleep, and 26 million users for health.

For those who want to fully unlock the capabilities of HUAWEI Health, Huawei offers the latest smartwatches and bands, including the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 SE and the HUAWEI WATCH FIT 2. These devices come with over 100 science-based workouts, advance sleep monitoring with HUAWEI TruSleep™ 3.0, and up to 2-week battery life.

With this partnership, Huawei and HPB aim to promote healthy living and encourage Singaporeans to adopt healthier lifestyles.
