TNB Aura, the Southeast Asia-based venture capital firm, has announced the appointment of Glen Ramersan as its new Managing Partner and Head of Indonesia. This move is expected to expand TNB Aura’s reach across the Indonesian markets and to elevate industries in Southeast Asia.
Ramersan has a broad range of experiences in founding companies and investing in businesses that generate real impact across industries. He built his first System Integration firm providing banking solutions for financial institutions and founded his next startup RoomMe which he successfully exited in 2022. Ramersan’s passion for uplifting the Southeast Asian ecosystem will be a valuable addition to the TNB Aura team.
According to TNB Aura’s Founding Partners, Vicknesh Pillay and Charles Wong, The Indonesia is a large, vibrant ecosystem with high internet penetration rates, signaling a market prime for innovation. Ramersan’s immediate connection with the Founding Partners, coupled with his understanding of the intricacies of an operator and the Indonesian market, make him the perfect fit for the role.
Ramersan will be supporting TNB Aura’s existing portfolio in Indonesia, including Super, AgriAku, Eratani, and Tjufoo, with a focus on expanding the Indonesia portfolio, which is a key market for TNB Aura in Southeast Asia.
“Compared to other markets, Indonesia is extremely resilient, especially during the pandemic. It was a perfect showcase of the grit of the founders during the downturn – It’s only up from here!”, Ramersan shared.
