Feeling the rust packing for your overseas trip? Here are some must-bring tech accessories that you need to include.

Power Bank

Power Bank is the staple item to bring along for all frequent travellers. It is extremely useful especially when you have many devices to charge while on the go. For example, your portable wi-fi router, your mobile phone and for some of you, your smart watch.

If you are rocking an iPhone that is equipped with MagSafe, I will recommend you to get a MagSafe power bank so that you reduce the number of cables you bring along while on the move. But note that MagSafe power banks have limited juice to charge up your phone.

Portable Wi-Fi Router

Roaming with your data service provider can be expensive. Shocking. So, I highly recommend that you rent a portable wi-fi dongle either from a local or overseas provider.

In Singapore, you can rent one through Changi Recommends before you fly off and if you are looking to get it overseas instead, you can consider searching for one on Klook. They usually have promo codes, so keep your eyes peeled to get the best rate possible!

Travel adapter

Power sockets differ from one country to another. Not to mention, the voltage too. So, a travel adapter is an important asset you need to bring along wherever you go, overseas that is. You can get them via Lazada, Shopee and other tech stores in Singapore.

Some hotels do have travel adapters for rent. So, do enquire with the hotel concierge if you forgot to bring one.

Multi-port charger

If you are still bringing along extension plugs for the electronic devices you need to charge, it is time to consider a multi-port charger.

Just one of them will allow you to charge multiple devices at the same time and the size of them are unlikely to take up as much space as extension plugs. Just remember to bring the right cables!

Tech Pouch

With all these tech accessories that you need to bring along, you will need something to hold them so that you can access them easily. Instead of the plastic ziplock bags that travellers love, putting it in a pouch that is compact and yet with many compartments can be useful.

Personally, I use a Bellroy Tech Kit, which is small yet spacious for my needs. It can even contain my multi-port charger.
