Singapore – Since its original release in 1983, G-SHOCK has continued to evolve and push the limits of time-keeping toughness. This time, it looks to elements out of this world for its latest inspiration for a new timepiece, borrowing the shape, colours and dynamicity of our home planet Earth to tell time and withstand the elements of nature.
The new G-SHOCK GM-110 Earth joins the G-SHOCK family with the planet upon which life as we know it reside as its design motif.
Everything on its dial is designed in the image of our planet, including a blue ion-plated (IP) metal bezel, printing around the circumference of the glass to resemble the Northern lights and inset dial hands in the shape of an artificial satellite. The black IP of the back cover is laser-scraped to create an image of Earth at night. All these are imposed on the base model of the metal-covered, big-case GM-110.
Function-wise, this model is packed with various advanced practical functions made possible by Magnetic Resistance, LED Light Super Illuminator and time adjustment using standard time signals.
The watch comes with a World Time feature, telling the time in approximately 31 time zones, including 48 cities and coordinated universal time. It also has the complete technical specifications of the G-SHOCK seal of shock resistance, 200m water resistance, hourly time signals, countdown timer and hand shift feature.
The GM-110EARTH-1A watch is priced at $449 and will be available for purchase on https://www.casio.com/sg/ and all G-SHOCK stores on 16th December 2022.
