Seagate Technology Holdings plc, a world leader in mass-data storage infrastructure solutions, announced that its LyveTM Labs Singapore is launching Lyve Cloud for Startups, a programme to help early-stage tech companies meet the rising demand of data management.
Many startups, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) build their business on the latest technological innovations such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and Internet of Things that heavily rely on data. Lyve Labs Singapore believes that entrepreneurs who push the technology boundaries should focus on their projects rather than worrying about data security, mobility, egress fees, or API charges.
Lyve Cloud for Startups is a free-of-charge programme designed to help its participants build and boost their businesses, grow to meet market demands. The programme provides all necessary tools and resources for startups to scale-up enjoying the free data storage, data security, as well as brand exposure and benefits of becoming a part of vibrant tech community.
“We are excited to launch the Lyve Cloud for Startups programme in Singapore. We aim to help Singapore’s tech cluster to thrive for innovation with solutions that enable easy data storage and access, infrastructure management and data mobility,” said Noa Franko Ohana, director of Lyve Labs. “We will help startups succeed by providing the data storage expertise, tools, resources and support they need to grow,” she concluded.
“At MooVita, our mission is to design and deploy true road-worthy autonomous vehicles everywhere. To do so, we need as much data as possible for our technology to deep learn mixed traffic conditions, different terrains and driver behaviours,” said Anthony Wong, Co-Founder and CTO of MooVita. “It was a natural choice for us to join the Lyve Cloud for Startups programme as it offers us what we need to collect, store and analyse data without a heavy burden of capital asset costs, cyber security and accessibility issues. MooVita is expanding its global footprint and scaling up technology development, so we are also excited about potential opportunities to interact and collaborate with other industry players through Lyve Labs.”
Lyve Cloud for Startups offers early-stage companies a package of up to 1PB of Lyve Cloud storage for one year. Lyve Cloud’s multi-region replication enables data access without costly delays, and the startup’s data is always available. In addition, the member’s data will be safeguarded, protected from ransomware and backed-up with enterprise-grade identity management support, automatic data replication, and the highest level of encryption that complies with the most stringent government standards. In addition, as a programme member, startups will gain access to a team of data experts who can answer any questions that arise regarding Lyve Cloud storage, as well as benefit from additional promotion of their products and innovation through marketing around the success stories that would share their unique voice with the world.
The Lyve Cloud for Startups programme invites tech companies in the cloud storage, data security or those heavily relying on data and having a registered entity in Singapore. The applicant company should not be older than five years to be eligible to apply.
