Say goodbye to remembering lengthy login credentials and creating innovative passwords – ViewQwest, Singapore’s fastest Internet Service Provider (ISP)1, has launched an easier and more secure way for its consumers to sign up and access their account with the telco – by using their Singpass to log in.
As the first telco in Singapore to offer this safer and quicker login method, consumers can now easily access their ViewQwest User Portal with the option of using the Singpass Login. This allows users the ease of mind when it comes to privacy and security, by simply logging in through scanning or tapping on the QR code via their Singpass app.
“Cybersecurity and online privacy are growing concerns for many consumers as they live out their digital lifestyles,” said Mr. Vignesa Moorthy, CEO and Founder of ViewQwest. “By adopting Singpass as an authentication platform for our consumers, they can rest easy knowing that their personal data and information are secure while using the Singpass app to login to our service portal.”
ViewQwest customers can have peace of mind knowing that their personal data, such as their name, address, contact information, and billing information, are accessible only to them by using the Singpass app. They no longer need to create and remember a separate username and password for ViewQwest, and no login credentials are stored on any ViewQwest database.
With a growing need for telcos to provide stable networks as more people are working from home, it comes with an increased risk of hackers and spoofers as well. By using the Singpass app to log in to ViewQwest’s user portal, customers are assured that their login information and login method are safe and secure.
“We are delighted that Singpass has enabled service providers such as ViewQwest to improve their user experience and increase business efficiencies. We look forward to work with more industry partners to build innovative digital solutions for our citizens and businesses,” said Mr Dominic Chan, Director, National Digital Identity, Government Technology Agency
Despite a growing customer base and increased network usage across homes and businesses as digital became a critical lifeline during heightened restrictions, ViewQwest maintained its status as the fastest fixed network in Singapore. In a recent report from Speedtest by Ookla, ViewQwest has maintained its number one ranking for Q2 2021, beating the other four major ISPs – M1, MyRepublic, Singtel and StarHub.
This comes on the news of Singapore dropping one ranking overall in the Speedtest Global Index, now ranked second out of 176 countries in terms of having the fastest fixed broadband speed globally, losing out to Monaco.
1 Based on analysis by Ookla of Speedtest Intelligence data for Q3-Q4 2018, Q1-Q4 2019, Q1 – Q4 2020 and Q1 – Q2 2021.
