LG Electronics (LG) has announced that TIDAL, global music and entertainment streaming platform, is now available on its smart TVs via the LG Content Store in over 50 countries and territories worldwide, including Singapore. Compatible with 2018 to 2021 models running webOS versions 4.0 through 6.0, the TIDAL app offers a new way to experience music, providing high-fidelity lossless sound and Dolby Atmos® through the platform’s HiFi tier as well as stunning, high-definition music videos, films, documentaries and more.
TIDAL is dedicated to delivering sound quality that can satisfy the most demanding music purists and audiophiles. Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) audio reproduces all the nuance and dynamism of an original recording, and allows TIDAL members to forge a closer connection to their favourite songs and artists by hearing tracks exactly as the artist intended.
Users can enjoy over 70 million tracks across all genres and 250,000 high-quality videos – all ad-free – as well as convenient features including unlimited skips, offline plans, Artist and Track radio stations, and intuitive discovery. Users can also access thousands of playlists curated by the platforms seasoned editorial team, music industry experts and journalists, and by the performers themselves.
Elevating the music experience even further is TIDAL’s support for Dolby Atmos through its HiFi tier. Whether enjoyed on one of LG’s latest Dolby Atmos-enabled TVs or when paired with a Dolby Atmos-enabled audio device, such as one of LG’s latest soundbars, Dolby Atmos goes beyond ordinary listening experiences to bring listeners inside their favourite music to forge a deeper connection between artists and their fans.
At launch, LG customers will be able to enjoy a growing library of songs and albums available in Dolby Atmos. This includes notable hits such as Ariana Grande’s 7 Rings, The Weeknd’s After Hours, and Shawn Mendes’ and Camila Cabello’s duet, Señorita and 50+ customized playlists spanning a variety of genres.
