Schneider Electric, the leader of digital transformation in energy management and automation, has appointed Yoon Young Kim as its new Cluster President of Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei. He previously served as the Cluster President for Vietnam and Cambodia for four years.

Kim brings with him 20 years of experience in energy management and lighting sectors spanning several industry segments across different zone(s) such as South America, Europe, North America, Asia, Africa, Russia, and the Middle East.

In his new role, Kim will be working to drive the expansion and manufacturing capabilities of the Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei cluster. He will focus on high-growth potential areas such as microgrids, while also helping clients within the cluster operate more sustainably.

“It is an honour to be part of an organisation that encourages innovation and creativity while placing great importance on being responsible for the environment and society. I am excited to be part of an ecosystem that is primed to support Singapore’s vision of a greener 2030. In this new role, I look forward to helping the cluster grow, and evolve my team’s skill sets for the future,” said Kim. “I am also grateful to Damien for leading the cluster with his vision and foresight, which has ensured that Schneider Electric remains the industry leader.”

Prior to his tenure at Schneider Electric, Kim has also held other leadership positions at a multinational conglomerate company. Having worked in North America, South Korea, Brazil, and Vietnam, he brings his extensive professional experience, as well as a deep understanding of cultural differences to his new role.

The previous Cluster President, Damien Dhellemmes, will now be taking up a new role as Senior Vice President for Digital Energy – Commercial at Schneider Electric.
