Shopee creates new milestones for businesses, excites consumers at 11.11 Big Sale

Shopee set new records on 11 November, powered by tremendous support from consumers and businesses in each of its seven markets. It saw robust sales momentum throughout the whole of the day, uplifting businesses in the region. Sellers participating in the 11.11 Big Sale for the first time saw 10 times more orders than an average day, as Shopee unlocked new opportunities for entrepreneurs and SMEs. 

Consumers gathered at Shopee across the 11.11 Big Sale period to shop, play, and forge meaningful interactions. More than 20 million hours of live streams were watched on Shopee Live, while Shopee’s in-app games were played more than 2.5 billion times.

11.11 Big Sale Highlights in Singapore

In Singapore, 11.11 Big Sale created a spike in shopping activity, which saw Shopee outdo last year’s performance in record-breaking time. This comes as people increasingly turned to Shopee for the best deals from their favourite brands and sellers, while enjoying greater convenience through Shopee’s ecosystem.

Key trends include:

  • Surge in demand for Beauty & Personal Care: Over 155,000 skincare products were sold as people focused on their beauty routine at 11.11 Big Sale.
  • Singaporeans turn to Shopee for household needs: Home & Living continued to be best sellers at 11.11, with 100,000 kitchen and dining products sold.
  • Best-selling products at 11.11: Merries Giant Pack Diapers, Innisfree My Real Squeeze Masks, and Nintendo Switch Consoles
  • Best-selling brands at 11.11: Xiaomi, Sasa, and Muji
  • Hottest keywords at 11.11: “Mask”, “Adidas”, and “AirPods Pro”

The surge in shopping activity on 11 November created tangible growth for local businesses. For instance, one electronics retailer recorded over S$1 million in sales in a day, with bestsellers including electronics, gadgets, and mobile accessories.
