Singapore, 23 October 2020 – 12 of StarHub’s most loyal customers woke up to a special iPhone 12 delivery experience put together by the company in appreciation for their longstanding support. These customers, who subscribe to close to 70 StarHub services with a tenure of 19 years on average, became the first few in the world to get their iPhone 12.
Launching the first meet-and-greet session powered by StarHub 5G and Augmented Reality (AR), the two business owners and 10 consumers simultaneously received a sprightly ‘knock’ on the door from StarHub’s Chief of Enterprise Business Group Charlie Chan and Vice President of Mobile Marketing Donovan Kik. Starting with a warm StarHub “Hello!”, Mr Chan and Mr Kik appeared as 3D on-screen avatars to thank and socially connect with these 12 customers.
As part of the surprise delivery, all 12 customers received $125 worth of gifts – an iPhone Clear Case with MagSafe and a $50 App Store & iTunes Gift Card – to enhance and sweeten their iPhone experience on StarHub 5G – Singapore’s widest 5G network which has achieved 70% population coverage.
Mr John Zhang, Managing Director of JLFC Pte Ltd whose company designs and supplies lifting, fixing, connecting and sealing solutions for the construction industry and who uses multiple StarHub services for both business and home, said, “I have been using StarHub’s services for 20 years, and it is my first time having such an experience. Mr Lim Chin Chong, a Hub Club multi-service customer who renewed two of his StarHub Mobile lines to get the iPhone 12 Pro, said, “It was a nice touch to have my name and my kids’ name on the card, and for Donovan to address all of us in his AR video. It is always delightful to be recognised, and to feel that, as a consumer or customer, we are cherished.”
In an immersive demonstration of StarHub 5G and AR, all pre-order customers will also be able to instantaneously see and hear from StarHub’s senior leaders, just as if they were actually there in front of them. All they need to do is to scan a special QR code delivered together with their new iPhone.
