Singapore – 5 MAY 2020, Rackspace has announced its continuous investment into the Asia Pacific region with the expansion into New Zealand, and the appointment of three senior leaders to the region, including APJ Chief Operating Officer (COO), Hari Dhayalan.
As part of the company’s broader Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) strategic plans, the expansion reinforces Rackspace’s commitment to ensure greater customer care across the region, particularly at a time when organisations are looking to cloud solutions for greater efficiencies and disaster relief recovery. As a positive message of hope, Rackspace will be looking to employ more talent locally over the coming months to help support the businesses as they transform, pivot and rebuild post COVID-19.
The Auckland office will complement Rackspace’s current APJ presence with other locations across Australia, Hong Kong, India, Japan and Malaysia. It is part of the company’s overall strategy to increase its customer base in the professional services industry globally by 2021.
COO, Hari Dhaylan will be based in Singapore, he brings with him over 16 years of experience in operations and finance across several business sectors. At Rackspace, Dhalayan will be focused on supporting the organisation’s rapid business growth in the region in terms of strategy, operations and management. He will be reporting to Sandeep Bhargava, Managing Director of APJ at Rackspace. As a result of the Singapore team’s expansion, the company will soon be moving to a new office space located in the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District.
Additionally in the region, Ian Kerr, will join as Country Manager for New Zealand and Mark Turner, as Senior Sales Lead, based out of Melbourne, Australia.
