Race Wong, co-founder and COO of Ohmyhome, was recognised as an outstanding entrepreneur, for her efforts to simplify how Malaysians buy, sell and rent a property. She clinched the Outstanding Woman award in Entrepreneur Category at Women Glamour Award 2019 at an award ceremony held last month in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The award honoured outstanding women who have excelled in their various industries and have made an extraordinary impact on the community and the people around them.
The award is in recognition of Race’s achievement in building a one-stop property solution that simplified the entire housing process. As the co-founder of Ohmyhome, Race was instrumental in working with her team, to build the technology framework and innovation roadmap for the platform. Shortly after its launch, Ohmyhome emerged as Singapore’s #1 HDB flat transaction app and within a short span of 3 years, the company has extended its simple, fast and affordable service offering to Malaysia. Today, Race continues to drive the day-to-day business operations, mainly focused on technology products.
“It is a great privilege and honour to be recognised alongside the many outstanding women. The purpose of the award is to encourage other women by sharing our stories. For if I am able to achieve my dreams and goals, many others can do so too! Making housing transactions simple, fast and affordable is at the heart of everything we do, and we’re delighted that the recognition places Ohmyhome at the forefront of the start-up industry.”
