Registrations Now Open for the Canon Photomarathon XVII on 12 October,

Canon PhotoMarathon Singapore returns for its 17th edition with a new home as registrations open for the 12 October event. Traditionally held at Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre, this year the single-day photography competition will take over Our Tampines Hub, with participants able to compete in the challenge on their own, or in a team of four.

Held annually, the Canon PhotoMarathon challenges photography enthusiasts to push the boundaries as they are given three themes to capture over the course of the one-day event.  Participants must submit one image per theme which will be assessed based on relevance to the theme and creative interpretation of the theme, before a panel of independent judges announces the competition winners.

Judges for this year’s Canon PhotoMarathon include Kevin Lim, who was awarded the Journalist of the Year in 2019, Juliana Tan, a Singapore-based photographer and director who has been published by the likes of The New York Times and Forbes Asia, and Bernard Seah, a wildlife photographer whose works have been featured in publications such as The Straits Times and BBC.

The registration fee for solo participants is $15, a team of four competitors can register for $60 and students from MOE-registered institutions can sign up for the Student Challenge for a fee of just $10.
