Singapore – BenQ, the global No.1 DLP projector brand, has unveiled the W11000H Pro Cinema Projector, an upgraded version of the W11000, featuring projector-optimised HDR, true 8.3-megapixel 4K UHD performance and full 3D viewing capabilities.
Sunny Chang, Country Manager of BenQ Singapore said:
“The W11000H is a game-changer for Singapore’s fast-growing segment of home cinema movie enthusiasts who are especially attuned to razor-sharp visuals brought on by HDR and4K UHD technology. No other projector demonstrates mastery of DLP, derived from the same technology in use at 100% of the world’s IMAX auditoriums, with 8.3-million pixel UHD performance and THX Certification to deliver the accurate content as film directors intended.”
BenQ is the world’s No.1 DLP projector brand and is also ranked the No.1 4K projector band in the Asia Pacific and the Middle East for three consecutive quarters in 2018, with a market share of 36 per cent.
“BenQ’s constant push for innovative technologies and in providing consumers with an authentic home cinematic experience has proven successful in these markets, and we will continue to create products that push the boundaries in for HDR colour technology,” added Ms Chang.
4K HDR Picture Quality for an Ultimate Digital Home Cinema Experience
The W11000H expands its already impressive 4K UHD visual quality with a projector-optimized High Dynamic Range (HDR10) support that significantly increases brightness and contrast range. This brings out every subtle nuance and detail for an unprecedented digital cinema performance.
Also, new 3D capability complements W11000H’s auto HDR optimisation with natural HDR colour and tone mapping to provide perfectly lifelike visuals for an intensely realistic IMAX experience.
Harnessing the advanced DLP 4K UHD DMD with XPR technology, W11000H produces 3840 x 2160 distinct pixels for true 8.3-million pixel 4K UHD resolution. Single-DMD DLP technology ensures absolute image integrity and colour accuracy without artefacts that can be introduced by panel alignment issues – which are especially notable at 4K as four times finer pixels than 1080p are used. BenQ’s highly optimised 4K optical system also employs 14high-resolution on elements, a true zoom system, and special low-dispersion lens coatings to preserve spectacular visual quality for an authentic digital cinema experience.

THX Certification to Assure a Commercial-Grade Cinematic Performance
W11000H underwent over 18 months of rigorous development and 200 THX laboratory tests covering over 500 data points to ensure strict colour accuracy, precise gamma, ideal colour temperature, enhanced uniformity, and super high native contrast ratio for the THX Certification.
Passing three rounds of live testing at THX headquarters in San Francisco, W11000H offers supreme overall image performance and THX Mode, pre-calibrated by THX engineers for the most accurate out-of-box picture quality possible to replicate the authentic cinematic contents filmmakers originally intended. W11000H’s Active Iris and Dynamic Black technology, SmartEco, and proprietary black paint sealed light engine produce an astounding 50,000:1 dynamic contrast performance for fine detail rendition in the darkest and brightest scenes without washout to preserve every subtlety of the original content.
W11000H’s stunning picture quality is further enhanced by CinemaMaster image processing technology, improving vivid colour reproduction, flesh tone correction, and advanced digital colour and luminance noise reduction. W11000H is also ISFccc calibration ready, enabling professional in-home custom calibration.
W11000H natively supports 2.35:1 anamorphic aspect ratio, offering the ultra-wide cinemascope experience of commercial digital cinemas. Its UHD performance opens a wider viewing angle to allow comfortable viewing of ultra-detailed 4K images up close, maximizing the
Beautiful Integration into Any Upscale Home Cinema
W11000H features a streamlined style, sleek front-facing ventilation and blends seamlessly into upscale home cinema aesthetics. Its unobstructed port architecture features extra space to cater for thick, high-quality cables and HDMI / power cable secure locking. The W11000H also features H/V lens shift and 1.5X big zoom for custom installations.
W11000H is powered by ultra-durable Digital Light Processing technology, which was awarded the 2015 Academy Award of Merit (Oscar® Statuette) for leading technology used in 90 per cent of the world’s digital cinemas.
