The excitement of getting the latest iPhone thundered through the morning at the Apple Store and the online space this morning
For one man, besides getting his hands on the iPhone XS Max in the comfort of his home, he also got more than he asked for.
CEO of StarHub, Mr Peter Kaliaropoulos (Peter K) paid a surprise visit to 53-year-old, Mr Edwin Sim, an ‘Apple fanatic’ and a long-time multi-service StarHub customer since the beginning of its operations in 2000.
Not only did Mr Peter K personally delivered the first of the pre-ordered iPhone XS Max to Mr Sim, but he also handed over a pair of BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore Racquet Club passes worth $4,288 to the long-time StarHub customer.
Mr Sim said:
“What a pleasant surprise I got when StarHub’s top honcho Mr Peter K turned up on my doorstep. I have been with StarHub since the second day of its launch, and today’s experience is indeed one to remember. Thank you, Team StarHub!”
Mr Sim was one of the 18 StarHub longest-tenured customers, who were also among the first few in the world to hold the latest Apple device in their hands.
Showing its appreciation for their customers’ longstanding support, StarHub started delivering the iPhones to these customers at 8 am, the same time at which the phones hit the stores.
Mr Peter K said:
