Connecting the watch with the app allows users to access the most accurate time, stay up to date with the latest time zone, and Daylight Saving Time information on the watch.
According to Casio, they have improved the accuracy of the time reflected on their watch by “automatically syncing with the smartphone to a time server on the internet four times a day.” It can also be synced manually by resetting the watch with a button to “ensure ultimate accuracy.”
Vice President of Casio’s Timepiece Division, David Johnson said:
“We are thrilled to introduce the ECB800DB-1A to Casio’s EDIFICE collection. The new addition represents our continued commitment to delivering timepieces that offer sophisticated and bold designs, robust features and meet the needs of the on-the-go consumer.”
In the era where battery consumption is one of the main concerns when buying a watch or an electronic device, the ECB800DB-1A can be charged efficiently through solar energy thanks to Casio’s Tough Solar Power feature. It can even charge itself in low-light conditions.
The ECB800DB-1A is water-resistant for up to 100 metres and offers a full-dot STN display which enables a clear, high-resolution digital display of the alarm and 1/1000-second stopwatch functions. Additional features include a daily alarm, super illuminator, speed indicator, 200 lap memory, countdown timer, and more.
