If you’ve seen a new section added to your mobile bill named or read something similar to Content & Services (Bill on Behalf Goods/Services), you could have subscribed knowingly or unknowingly to a 3rd party service. These services are termed as Premium Rate Services (PRS).
What are Premium Rate Services?
According to the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA):
“Premium Rate Services are mobile content services such as ringtone/game downloads, quiz services, news services, chatlines which are usually subscribed (and un-subscribed) to via SMS sent to a shortcode 14607XXXX.”
How to stop them?
To stop such services, you can bar these PRS permanently by dialling *BLOCK (*25625).
