M1 has unveiled their latest value-added service (VAS) called the M1 Cyber Guardian. The Cyber Guardian is a network-based solution that provides parents more options to manage the use of the Internet by their children, to protect them from harmful content on the world wide web.

The Cyber Guardian enables parents to monitor online activities for their children across all their devices. With this VAS, parents will also be able to manage the time their kids can spend on apps, surfing the net and most importantly, blocking inappropriate websites.

Mr P. Subramaniam, Chief Marketing Officer, M1 said:

“Cyber Guardian is an all-in-one solution in our market to offer always-on, end-to-end parental control. It will help customers balance the internet life of their family members. With the self-help portal, parents can now manage and monitor their children’s internet access on the go and keep them safe online.”

To sign up for this new VAS, M1 customers can either login to the My M1 app to subscribe to the service or head down to any M1 Shop outlets to add on this service into their existing plan. The service comes at a monthly fee of S$2.70, and first-time subscribers will enjoy six months of free service.
