Yes, you heard me right! That’s 12TB – which means our hopes of compiling all of our multimedia files onto a single drive has become a possibility. These helium-based hard disk drives have a spinning rate of 7,200rpm and support the SATA 6Gbps interface – therefore, offering PC users scalability with increased capacity, reliability and performance.

The HDDs are part of Seagate’s Guardian series and the latest members of the IronWolf™, IronWolf™ Pro and BarraCuda® Pro range. Created just for storage-hungry monsters like you and me, these drives cater to our media storage needs that include augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), 4K resolution and 360-degree videos.

The 12TB BarraCuda Pro HDD can meet any number of demanding data management needs from creative editing workflows to gaming to desktop computing. The drive’s high speed means that data-intensive activities like large file transfers and photo-editing are faster when using BarraCuda Pro.
