It is time for local Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to rethink their pricing and plans for their broadband services as WhizComms is here to shake things up, just a little.
WhizComms is the new kid on the block having been confirmed as the latest ISP in Singapore late last year. What they are offering may be similar to what the other ISPs are offering but a 12-month contract, 1Gbps Fibre Broadband at just $45 per month? This is by far the cheapest plan in Singapore right now.
Local telco giant SingTel also has a 12-month contract broadband plan but it costs $59.90 per month. Of course, it comes with a few incentives that they have bundled in.
Anyway, whether you go to WhizComms, SingTel, M1, ViewQwest, MyRepublic, Starhub and any other ISPs that we may have missed out here, it all depends on your need. If you don’t like the idea of being tied down by a contract, you can sign up with MyRepublic’s no-contract 1Gbps Fibre Broadband. But if you are going to use the broadband for a year anyway, you could save about $15 a month with WhizComms.
Think about it. Always compare the pros and cons, people.
