Key Takeaways- Joel Neoh joins Roblox as Managing Director for Southeast Asia and Oceania, the company’s most senior business lead for the two regions, after two decades founding and scaling technology companies across Asia Pacific.
- He previously founded GroupsMore, which merged with Groupon ahead of its IPO, and Fave, a Southeast Asian fintech and payments platform that scaled past 10 million users before its acquisition by Pine Labs in 2021.
- Neoh was most recently Managing Director at Prenetics’ consumer health business and remains a Founding Partner of early-stage venture platform First Move, having backed more than 50 Asian startups.

A regional lead for creators, parents and regulators
Neoh’s role centres on championing Roblox‘s growing base of developers and creators in the region, helping local studios use the platform’s tools to build commercial success, and engaging parents, regulators and local communities on safety. Roblox points to a young, digitally native population and a fast-moving digital ecosystem across Southeast Asia and Oceania as reasons for the dedicated role.
“I’ve spent my career building companies across this region, and I’ve seen first-hand the creativity, optimism and entrepreneurial energy here… As we grow, keeping young people safe and working closely with parents, regulators and local communities will remain central to everything we do,” said Neoh.
Two decades building and investing across Asia Pacific
Neoh brings two decades of experience founding, building and scaling technology companies across Asia Pacific, spanning digital media, e-commerce, fintech, consumer health and AI.
