Meta has made Muse, its personal AI agent, available in Singapore. The launch follows the global announcement in September and comes with local connectors that include Shopee, Grab and Singapore Airlines.
Key Takeaways
- Muse, Meta’s personal AI agent, is now available in Singapore on iOS, Android and the web.
- Eight local partners cover shopping, groceries, dining and travel, with some features arriving after launch.
- Muse runs on a cloud-based Secure VM and checks with users before sensitive actions such as purchases.
What the Muse AI agent can do in Singapore
Users can link Muse to apps they already use, such as Gmail, Google Calendar and Instagram. It can then manage email, coordinate schedules and draw on saved content for everyday tasks.
Eight local partners are on board so far: Shopee, Grab, Singapore Airlines, Agoda, ShopBack, Klook, Trip.com and Lazada. They span shopping, groceries, dining and travel.
Muse can research products and compare prices before a purchase on Shopee or Lazada, or plan grocery runs and meals through GrabMart and Grab Dine Out. Travel, ticketing and reservation options run through Singapore Airlines, Agoda, Klook and Trip.com. ShopBack adds cashback on travel and shopping, plus in-store dining deals.
Meta said connector features will roll out progressively, with some experiences arriving after launch. Nicole Tan, Managing Director of Meta Singapore, said the company is connecting Muse with well-known brands in Singapore and the region. “Muse is your personal agent, built to help make everyday life easier,” she said.
How Muse handles privacy and security
Muse runs on Muse Secure VM, a dedicated cloud computer that stores the data and credentials for connected services. Passwords and payment methods stay out of the agent’s view. Users choose what Muse can access, and it checks with them before sensitive actions such as sending an email or making a purchase.
Meta said most of the effort on the project went into making the agent safer to operate. It has published a research post that sets out its approach.
Muse availability and pricing in Singapore
Muse is available on iOS, Android and at muse.ai, with AI glasses support coming soon. It is free for most of what people need, with subscription plans for those who want to do more. Meta did not share Singapore pricing in the announcement.
